Privacy Policy

Information you provide

Depending on how you use Aurlore, you may provide:

  • Parent and child names, a child’s birth date, and family profile details.
  • An email address used for account recovery or sign-in.
  • Family stories, written responses, prompts, photos, voice recordings, and exported PDFs.

Information created by the service

Aurlore creates account, family, child, message, and pairing identifiers needed to keep each family separate. It also processes device installation identifiers, Apple Push Notification tokens, time-zone settings, delivery status, and limited technical records needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the app.

How information is used

We use information only as needed to:

  • Create and protect your family account.
  • Save, sync, schedule, and deliver private family messages.
  • Connect a child’s device using a time-limited pairing code.
  • Send requested notifications and recovery emails.
  • Create shared-moment views and user-requested PDF exports.
  • Maintain security, reliability, and customer support.

No advertising or tracking

Aurlore does not sell personal information, show third-party advertising, or track people across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising purposes.

Service providers

We use carefully selected service providers to operate Aurlore, including cloud hosting, authentication, private file storage, email delivery, and Apple services such as push notifications, TestFlight, and App Store distribution. These providers process information only to provide their services to Aurlore or as required by law.

Children and family use

Aurlore is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or legal guardian. Child devices join a family through a parent-generated, time-limited code. Aurlore has no public profiles or public social feed. If you believe a child’s information was provided without appropriate parental authorization, contact us so we can review and delete it.

Retention and deletion

Family information is retained while an account is active and as needed to provide the service. Account deletion is available inside the app, with an explanation of what will be removed before you confirm. If you are an invited parent, deletion removes your account, sign-in credentials, family access and unpublished drafts. Pages already shared or scheduled remain in the children’s books, together with their original photos, voice recordings and ready keepsake PDFs. Their existing author name and a content identifier remain with those pages; these do not provide account access.

The family creator must resolve other parents’ access before deleting the creator’s account and associated family data. Removed information leaves active systems, subject to limited retention required for security, legal compliance or routine backup expiration.

You can separately request removal of a specific shared page, photo or recording, including after account deletion. Contact support with the child’s book and approximate page date, without sending the private content, passwords or pairing codes. We verify the requester and the scope before removal. Copies already exported outside Aurlore cannot be recalled. See our support page for this process.

Security and international processing

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect family information, including private storage, access controls, and family-specific authorization. Service providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries where they operate. No method of storage or transmission can be promised to be completely secure.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct, or delete your information, or ask a privacy question, by contacting us. You can also manage notification and microphone permissions in your Apple device settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Aurlore changes. The effective date above will show when the latest version took effect.
